Fresh Langoustines 16–20 per kg
Fresh langoustines from the cold North Atlantic waters around Scandinavia. The 16–20 size grade consists of smaller, evenly graded langoustines with the same characteristic sweetness and delicate texture as the larger sizes. The 16–20 grade means that approximately 16 to 20 langoustines make up one kilogram. Their smaller size makes them particularly convenient for dishes where several langoustines are used per portion.
Flavour & texture
Delicate and naturally sweet, with a subtle nutty character. The flesh is tender and succulent with a fine, pleasantly firm texture.
Culinary applications
Excellent for pan-frying, grilling, steaming, poaching or briefly boiling. Their smaller size makes these langoustines ideal for pasta, risotto, salads, seafood platters, starters and dishes where several pieces are served per portion. The heads and shells can also be used to prepare flavourful bisques, shellfish stocks and sauces.
